Blogaway API quota limits increased

As per our last update, we have been constantly hitting the quota limit for API requests for a few days. It was for a few days, and so, users could have experienced a few problems due to that.

But now, we have got a higher quota limit for Blogaway, and there shouldn't be any service interruptions from the applications.

Also, we have our new "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of Service" setup, which was needed for getting a quota upgrade from Google.

Blogger API quota limits (Blogaway and Blogaway Pro)

Blogger V3 API, has an initial quota limit of 10,000 requests a day. For the last few days, we have seen that the number of API requests from Blogaway and Blogaway Pro are hitting dangerously close to the quota limits.

What it means is: When this limit is achieved, the blogger API will not acknowledge any new requests coming from Blogaway or Blogaway Pro.

The rise of the number of requests was, in a way, very sudden. And thus, we couldn't take steps to ensure that the users don't face the consequences. We are very sorry for that. 

We have applied for an extension of the limit, to a higher number of API requests per day. But, as the API FAQs say, it generally takes 5 business days to approve this up-gradation. And so, if  Blogaway or Blogaway Pro doesn't seem to be working, it is most probably due to this reason.

We will update this space, when this is fixed, and hope that you don't mind this temporary problem.

Blogaway 5.2 - Minor update

This is a minor update for Blogaway for Android.

What's new in this update?

1. Fixed a few crashes while working with posts and drafts
2. Special characters or posts/blogs in languages other than english should not appear correctly. The post/blog titles and the contents should now render correctly.
3. Editing your existing blog posts is now enabled.
4. Blogaway uses Google analytics to track app usage. In the settings, you could also disable this and opt-out of Google Analytics.
5. Now you can add a caption to your images and videos.
6. Commenting is now enabled if you have a manually setup account. While commenting, only such accounts would be visible to use for commenting on posts.

An Alpha build up for testing

An Alpha build for Blogaway is available on the Play store now. This is a completely re-written codebase, and thus, this update will not use the old data that you have with the existing version. You will need to setup your accounts and reading lists again.

Also, all your drafts, if any would not be imported into the new drafts system. If you want to preserve your drafts, please publish them, or save them as online drafts, and then proceed with the update.

Migration old the old data was a lot of work. And I don't really think it's worth. If and only if you have a lot of phone drafts, it's a real problem for the users. But other than the drafts, setting up everything else shouldn't take much time.

Blogaway update

Hi All,

The last update to blogaway was force closing on some users. So, we have uploaded a quick fix update for that problem. Please update Blogaway.

Blogaway Update v4.57

Blogaway has been having a few issues of late. Especially, related to reading of posts and edit features. We have changed the database structure a bit, to include the html link to your posts which is used in "Share" option. So, your old posts that you must have already had one your phones would not have this new column. And so, problems.

In the recent update, we have tried to remove all your old posts from your phone which do not have this column filled. As a result, some of your old posts would be deleted locally from your phone. Sorry for that.

Also, the Edit feature bug has been fixed. Please update Blogaway to the latest version.

We would also like to mention that we have been receiving a lot of mails and complaints from users. We appreciate your feedback, bug reports and suggestions. Please keep them coming. We will try our best to reply to each of your queries through mail.

Update on Blogaway Lite : Still under beta. We have plans of adding lots of new features with the Lite version. If you have any suggestions for any features, you can either mail us or leave a comment here.

Blogaway Update v4.55 available

This new update fixes quite a few problems that users have been reporting. There was a bug which downloaded posts saved as drafts and displayed them as normal posts. And for some, these drafts were shown as drafts, but when you open the post to view, it displayed "null" in the Reader.

This has been fixed now. For now, your drafts will still be downloaded and will be shown as drafts, but you cannot open these posts. When you go to blogger and finally publish this draft, and come back and refresh the list, then you will be able to view the posts.

Blogaway Issues

Of late, many users have been complaining about issues with Blogaway. From the mails/feedback we have received, it seems that people are not being able to view their posts. This is really weird since it's working fine on our phones.

We are still trying to figure out the problem. Right now, we have no clue whats gone wrong.

Another update: We are working on another version of Blogaway with new features and a revamped UI. This should be ready in a month.

Blogaway Issues

Hi People,
It's been some erroneous uploads by me. The past few updates were not properly tested and thus you had to face so many issues. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

The latest update is the most stable update and works fine. This update has been thoroughly tested for errors. So, I would request you all to update to the latest version available on the market.

I assure you that the next updates will be tested out completely and thoroughly before making it to the market. Please let me know if you still have any other issues.

Blogaway Update 3.7 problems

People who are getting frequent Force Closes, please do a fresh install. If possible, please send us a log of the error.

How to send an error report.
1. Download and install SendLog which is available free on the Android Market.
2. Once installed, try to reproduce the error/force close.
3. When the Force close dialog comes, click on "Force Close".
4. Now open SendLog. In the list of various options, select "time" and click on send.
5. Send it to blogaway.team@gmail.com

We will investigate the error and try to fix this problem.Sorry for the inconvenience. If we find a solution or a fix, we will post an update to the Android Market very soon.

* SendLog  is a great tool for developers who can ask their users to send error reports and logs directly to them.

Issues with Auto-Sync Posts

The recent update has some issues with the Auto-Sync feature You might not be getting updates of new posts even if you have enabled the settings. In some cases, you might also be getting duplicate posts.

We have found out the issue, and will be fixing it with the next update.
