Blogaway Update v4.57

Blogaway has been having a few issues of late. Especially, related to reading of posts and edit features. We have changed the database structure a bit, to include the html link to your posts which is used in "Share" option. So, your old posts that you must have already had one your phones would not have this new column. And so, problems.

In the recent update, we have tried to remove all your old posts from your phone which do not have this column filled. As a result, some of your old posts would be deleted locally from your phone. Sorry for that.

Also, the Edit feature bug has been fixed. Please update Blogaway to the latest version.

We would also like to mention that we have been receiving a lot of mails and complaints from users. We appreciate your feedback, bug reports and suggestions. Please keep them coming. We will try our best to reply to each of your queries through mail.

Update on Blogaway Lite : Still under beta. We have plans of adding lots of new features with the Lite version. If you have any suggestions for any features, you can either mail us or leave a comment here.
Thanks and Regards,

Blogaway Update v4.55 available

This new update fixes quite a few problems that users have been reporting. There was a bug which downloaded posts saved as drafts and displayed them as normal posts. And for some, these drafts were shown as drafts, but when you open the post to view, it displayed "null" in the Reader.

This has been fixed now. For now, your drafts will still be downloaded and will be shown as drafts, but you cannot open these posts. When you go to blogger and finally publish this draft, and come back and refresh the list, then you will be able to view the posts.

Do let us know your feedback and issues if any.

Blogaway Issues

Of late, many users have been complaining about issues with Blogaway. From the mails/feedback we have received, it seems that people are not being able to view their posts. This is really weird since it's working fine on our phones.

We are still trying to figure out the problem. Right now, we have no clue whats gone wrong.

Another update: We are working on another version of Blogaway with new features and a revamped UI. This should be ready in a month.

Blogaway Update v4.4

Blogaway now supports users with Custom domains on Google Apps for Domains. This is still being tested, but the basics work. Posting, viewing, commenting and uploading pictures work.

A few things you have to keep in my mind.
- Your Apps account password and Blogger account password should be same.
- Your Apps account password and Picasa Web account password should also be same.

In short, for the time being, Blogaway will not work if you have different login credentials for these services. If you run into problems, do let us know. You can also enter bugs in our bug tracker.

http://code.google.com/p/blogaway/issues/list

Blogaway had some unused permissions. They have been removed. Also, we have now removed the Ad support that was introduced in the previous update.

For GAFYD accounts, youtube is not yet a part of the services offered to it's users. So, with such accounts you will not be able to upload videos to their blogs. We will try to find a workaround for that.

  3.  Issue 38 : adding functionality for embedding youtube clip
  4. Images uploaded through Blogaway now have links to the actual image

Blogaway v4.1

With this update, you can add signatures to your posts.

1. Go to Settings screen.
2. Check the "Signature" option.
3. Enter a custom signature that you wish to be appended with your posts.

Currently, you can only enter signatures as simple text. We will be working on this feature and extend this so that you can put links in you signature.

If you enable signatures, the signature will be appended to each blog that you post from Blogaway. You cannot selectively set/enable signatures for a particular blog.

Do send us your comment, feedback and issues so that we can make "Blogaway", a better blogger client for Android.

Blogaway with GMail and Twidroid

Hello People,

The new update of blogaway is now available on the Anroid Market. This has a few bug fixes. But the main feature that we have released with this version is "Blogaway's Integration with GMail and Twidroid Apps".

To enable this feature, you will need to have Twidroid already installed. If not, then this feature won't work. If you have already installed Twidroid, you are ready to TWEET your BLOGs.

Go to Settings Screen. Check the option "Post on Twitter".

From now, whenever you create/publish a post from Blogaway, you will get an option of either sending the link of your new post via Gmail or Twitter. Select an option. The default message will look something like this.

"Check out my blog  "My first post" http://myblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/my-first-post.html "

If you want you can edit the title and the message, but please don't change the URL. Click on send and you are done. It's so simple.

Do let us know your experiences with this new feature. If you have any queries, do contact us and we will reply to your messages/mails promptly.

Thanks and Regards,

Blogaway Team

Blogaway's next Update

We will be introducing the edit feature for posts in the next update. BUt, since this feature will be a new addition, this might have a lot of small bugs which you should be aware of.

-Editing posts with formatting is still possible, but you cannot change the formatting of already formatted texts.

-If you have pics/videos on your post, you can only edit the texts in such cases. Pics/Videos will appear as blue boxes. Please be careful with those, because, if by mistake you delete them, your pics and posts will be gone.

Also, with the next update, we will be enabling the "Share with" option for Blogaway, so that, right from your gallery, you can create a post with a picture or a video without going through the process of attaching a pic/video.

This was a feature requested by one of "Blogaway's" user.

With subsequent updates, you will definintely notice better edit handling of posts and more new and cool features.

Till then, BLOGAWAY!!!!

Blogaway - Failure to read some blogs

Some users have reported that they were not able to read some blogs. After "Refresh", you get a message saying "Content object is not TextContent". This is a configuration issue with your blog. Please follow the steps below to resolve this.

To rectify this, please go to your blog settings. From the "Site Feed" tab, set "Allow Blog Feed" to "Full". Now try reading it on "Blogaway". This should solve your problem.

There's no need to update "Blogaway"  to resolve this. This is only a configuration change on your blog.

Thanks,

Blogaway Team

Blogaway Update

Hi All,

We are very sorry for so frequent updates for Blogaway. But there were a lot of bugs which we could find and had to fix them. We didn't find all these bugs at one time, and each of them was leading to Force closes.

Now, Blogaway is very stable, and thus we would not be updating it so frequently.

Thanks for your support and bug reports,

Blogaway Team

Thanks for support and feedback

Hello All,

A very very Happy New Year to all the users of "Blogaway". We have been getting, 10's (1000's would have been proper :) ) of mails everyday from users asking to include new features, and reporting bugs, and appreciating "Blogaway".

Keeping a track of all these mails is quite tedious, especially for such a small team. Nevertheless, we are trying to record all such feedback on our bug-tracker. But, we would request all of you to directly use the bug-tracker instead. Here is the link.

http://code.google.com/p/blogaway/issues/list

You can create new "Feature Requests", "Report bugs" or ask for help and we will definitely reply to you. Also, by doing this, people having similar issues don't have to mail us and wait for our reply. They can directly access information from this bug tracker, and check the status of the reported bugs.

Also, we have created a page for user's to enter comments and queries which might not be suitable for the bug-tracker. Here is the link.

http://code.google.com/p/blogaway/wiki/UserComments

However, in case you need to contact us directly, you can do that as well. Drop us a mail at:

blogaway.team@gmail.com

We will try our best to reply/revert to your queries as soon as possible.
